The more I am thinking of tomorrow's game, the more I am thinking about where the difference could be, someone to create something out of nothing and someone to step up for Chelsea to be the difference. I believe the with the news on Frank Lampard yesterday being out, I am not sure if Ramires will play next to Mikel and Essien, and I think it is too much of a big game for McEachran in Ancelotti's eyes, so I believe Kalou will get the nod tomorrow to start.
This of course means Malouda will drop back into Midfield next to Mikel and Essien with Kalou up with Anelka and Drogba.
Tomorrow is a massive massive game as I keep saying but that's the thing about games being played on a Sunday, you sit here on Saturday thinking about the game, trying to see how it will play out, where things can go wrong for us and where things can go right for us. It's thinking about where it can go right for us leads me (believe it or not) to Kalou.
Now more often than not I am with alot of Chelsea fans (especially Chidge from the Chelsea Fancast) when it comes to Kalou. He frustrates the life out of me. One minute he is fantastic and the next embarrassingly shocking!
He does all the hard things right to get in and around the box, but when it comes to hitting the target, composing himself to get a shot on target or to even just pass the bloody ball, he falls apart.
With the game being about our big players standing up this week as JT said and Carlo admitting we are not playing well, the focus you can imagine will be on the likes of Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Essien, Terry, Ashley Cole etc and you can imagine Harry Redknapp will focus on these players.
It's the not so much of a big player in Kalou that really could prove to be our match winner tomorrow. Yes REALLY!.
Of course I can be totally wrong and Kalou has another one of those frustrating games that we have become used to of late, but then again he could provide something tomorrow that can cause Tottenham problems.
It's the fact that he runs at defenders and is usually good with the ball at his feet. He isn't scared to try and dribble around defenders and with Spurs trying to keep the likes of Drogba, Anelka and Malouda quiet, Kalou could find himself at times one on one with his defender and beat his man and get in on goal.
I have no doubt that this will be a cracker of a game as these two playing each other normally has some kind of drama, but in amongst all the drama, the passion of a London derby and the pressure of a much needed three points for Carlo Ancelotti and our side, could it be Salomon Kalou one of our unsung players who provides Chelsea with the winner to get our season back on track?
KTBFFH!.
