I keep being told by my other half how us football fans are fickle. She is right you know especially when it comes to Joe Cole. It does still grate with me that he left us because of the money etc but whenever I see him on TV playing for Liverpool I still can hear him saying:
I've joined the biggest club in the country!I wonder if he has regretted saying that ever since?. Joe himself has said:
"We are not playing well, I'm not playing well but I know I'm at a club that is going to help me through it, I know that and I expect better from myself.Er, I think you are mistaken Mr Cole. If you had stayed with us then you would be dealing with a much different challenge right now and that's STAYING TOP OF THE LEAGUE!.
It's disappointing to lose such a big game but, in these situations, the worst thing you can do is start pointing fingers at each other. We have got to look at ourselves. I'll just try and do what I can do to get back to it. I need to find my form somehow. I'm sure I will and it will come soon.
We have had a tough start and a bad start with results. We can't do anything about that now. We are where we are and we have got to change it. We have got to dig deep. There are characters here. I'm looking at myself - nobody else. I need to do a lot better for the club. Every minute of every day I'm thinking about how I can get there again. I'm desperate to do well for Liverpool. I've never had a period like this before and it is all new territory for me, but it is a challenge and life is never easy."

So good 'ol Joey is on his period. That explains everything.
ReplyDeletelol!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile some people seem to think he should never have left, rather more of us hated every minute of his stay because he was a brainless show pony who never performed for more than 20 minutes a month.
ReplyDeleteWell shot of him.
And I guarantee no-one will ever hear from him again now he's at a small relegation club. He is and always has been a nobody hanging onto Chelsea coat-tails.
I would suggest Joey for a good tampon to fight his bad period! ;)
ReplyDeleteWith our blessings, hope he forever stays a bottom feeder, let him grind the filth with his beloved bottom-feeding Liverfools!...God! won't it be great if they were ever to be relegated, after so many years of trash talking about the success of other teams(especially us)!!! Their pain is my pleasure, and they can have that one trick donkey(Joe dumb Cole) he was pain in the a**
ReplyDeleteThe problem period is a result of playing so often that you realise just how bad you rare Joe. You can't shoot to save yourself, which amazes me for a full time life professional.'And knowing all that, along with your injuries that CFC saw you through, the money you asked sor was a disgrace. You have proved that you have no loyalty when push comes to shove. FOJC.
ReplyDeleteFor all the football Joey plays, I really don't think he left because of the money. More to the fact that he realized he was going to have far less games to play at the club; what with the form everybody else was picking up with the sole exclusion of Joe Cole !!
