So if the press are to be believed John Terry faces his D-Day with Fabio Capello today and let's face it the Press are waiting for JT to be stripped of the armband and hung out to dry even more than he already has!
We all know whats happened and we all have our own opinions on it but the fact of the matter is that Fabio Capello needs to make a decision based on footballing reasons. What has happened with JT is a personal matter and should not be brought into a decision based on leading a football team onto the pitch as far as I am concerned.
So if JT has the armband taken away who will Capello look to replace him with? Gerrard? We all know he was bang to rights as per the video evidence of him smacking the life out of someone in a bar recently but got off. Rio Ferdinand? Who has also got previous and is on an extended FA Ban for striking out at a player off the ball the other week!. What about Rooney? After all it will give him additional money so he can make sure that old bird he "paid a visit to" would be well off eh!
Just face it, Footballers are by far the most clean cut and squeaky clean living people on the planet (I am talking about high profile players) but we all know that.
When it comes to Chelsea and England we need to ensure we have THE best players available to take on the World Cup and JT is right up there with the best defenders in World Football let alone England. As long as he does the business on the pitch and his form doesn't suffer then I can see Capello giving him a slap on the wrist and letting it die down and JT get on with it!
No doubt the Press will still have a field day, as they have been with Chelsea lately haven' they!
CAREFREE & KTBFFH EVERYONE!
