Frank Lampard: This is Chelsea's biggest signing of the summer.

Frank Lampard believes that Antonio Conte signing a new Chelsea contract would eclipse any potential player coming into the club and would represent our biggest signing this summer.

Speaking recently, and with all the speculation surrounding Chelsea's impending summer signings, Lampard was keen to point out and remind us all of the impact Antonio Conte made last season and the sooner that we can get a new contract signed the better. He said:

“Antonio would be the most important signing. For me he was there man of the season.

“I’m all for giving the players credit but because it was such a dramatic uplift from the year before you have to give him huge credit.

He took the club from 11th to comfortable champions and that can’t be underestimated. I think he’s a huge signing for them. I’m pretty confident he’ll be there and they’ll bring in players to play in the system he wants to play.”

Lamps is spot on again in my opinion. Antonio Conte deserves all the credit in the world for what he did for our club last season. I still personally believe that he still has not received as much as he should because people use the excuse that we didn't have any European football to consider. People are reserving judgement to this coming season with us being back in the Champions League and whether or not Conte and his players can maintain their Premier League challenge.

You have to sit back and look at last season especially at the quality of management in the Premier League now. Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Pochettino and Wenger were all primed for making a realistic challenge at the beginning of the season and with Antonio Conte coming in to take over a club in reported turmoil with players looking to leave, he was under pressure to get us back into the top four let alone anything else!

To have worked wonders with the players, to have identified the right system that suits the players he had and to take the club from 11th to the top of the League to then stay there and win the League in the way we have is sensational.

I agree with "Super Franky Lampard" Antonio Conte would be the best signing we could wish for this summer!
