According to reports, Chelsea have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Barcelona Winger Pedro for a fee of £21m and this is excellent news!
I have always stated on here that Pedro is a player we should be looking to sign as he fits the Mourinho mould perfectly.
A work horse through midfield and out wide, he has fantastic energy and is more then familiar with the defensive side of his game. Under Pep Guardiola, Barcelona were famed for their high pressing game and it suits Pedro who has demonstrated time and time again he is a willing worker for the team.
If you take what he offers to a team defensively and add his obvious attacking threat, I personally believe we have a real bargain on our hands for a fee of only £21m!
Pedro is quick, blessed with pace and has a fantastic ability to score goals and is exactly what Chelsea need down that right hand side. Although Willian plays there, he isn't naturally a wide player and with him coming inside, he will provide stiff competition with Oscar for the number ten role.
I am really, really pleased this deal is about to be done with Pedro already in London having a medical. It will give everyone a huge lift ahead of this weekend!
