After a lot of movement across the leagues, plenty of games played and a number of players still to have not got enough games it is time to catch up with the activity of the players out on loan across Europe. Starting in the UK.

Premiership

After a big change up at Southampton Ryan Bertrand moved there to help them recover from a big sale of players and to try and stabilize them, what they have done is to surprise everyone. In September they played 4 games and won them all. For his part Ryan Bertrand has featured in all of them and only the game against Arsenal in the League Cup he has started and finished on the pitch.

Christian Atsu so far is slowly settling into life at Everton and hopefully he will get more and more minutes as the time progresses. His only 2 appearances this month were both starts against Crystal Palace and Swansea, both games they lost. He sat out another 3 games without coming on. Hopefully October will be a more productive month for him.

A player who is not settling in very nicely to his new loan club is Victor Moses. Last season turned out to not be great for him but so far Stoke is turning out to be a good fit for Moses. He has featured in all of Stokes games this month and a starter in all but the League Cup game. He is yet to score a goal but he has become an important part of the Stoke team already.

A more difficult loan in the Premiership this season is Nathaniel Chalobah's at Burnley. It is a big step up for the young man and so far he is just settling into the club and his game time has been really minimal. His total game time so far consists of 45 minutes in the defeat to West Brom last weekend. He picked up a throat injury in an U21's game for Burnley so he is doubtful to stat October playing.

Championship

Kenneth Omeruo has once again settled into life at Middlesbrough and is a vital part of their set up. Middlesbrough's form has picked up nicely in September and Kenneth has featured in all but the first and the last game, the latter due to an injury picked up in the previous game. 4 starts in the total game time for him during September and it looks like being a productive season for him already.

For John Swift things have not gone terribly well for him at Rotherham this month. In the whole of September he did not make a single appearance. That will need to change very quickly for the young man before this becomes an issue of slowing his development. I have not seen anything that indicates why he has not played but it is a worrying thing to be seeing.

Also at Middlesbrough is Patrick Bamford and he has had a decent month, after taking a little time to settle into his new environment he is now playing regular football and has played in every game for the team this month making 3 starts and 3 more appearances from off the bench. Bamford has also got himself a couple of goals including a last minute penalty in the League Cup against Liverpool. For Bamford it will be a case of more of the same.

Another Middlesbrough loanee Jamal Blackman is making his first move away from Chelsea and for a goalkeeper in the Championship it has been as difficult as you would expect to get the game time. So far he has played only the one game which was a 2 - 2 League Cup game against Liverpool. Of course he also had to face over a dozen penalties in the shootout. Hopefully more games will be forthcoming.

Bundesliga

After impressing for Chelsea last season in the first team Kalas has spent the season so far at FC Koln and surprisingly he has not featured in a single game to date. Again I have no idea as to why this is but for a player who is on the verge of Chelsea first team football it is a disappointment not to see him getting games yet.

September for Thorgan Hazard and Monchengladbach has been a mixed bag he has only featured in two of the five games in the month starting one and coming on as a sub in the other. It was a big step up for the young Hazard from Belgium and a settling in period was to be expected, he will get more time as the months go on for sure.

Someone who managed to score in the Bundesliga this month is Lucas Piazon. His time at Frankfurt is seemingly going very well. This month he has started 2 games out of 4 and came on as a sub in one other and missed out on the fourth game. He has as I said scored a goal this month and not just a simple goal a 40 yard free kick screamer, it was a great goal.

Oriol Romeu last season in Spain had a mixed time and did not feature in every game but this season and this month he has started every single game for Stuttgart, it is a good period for him where he is getting games in a good league and seems to be impressing on a regular basis.

Eredivise

20 year old left back Wallace is really benefiting from his time in Holland with Vitesse, this month he had featured in all 3 games played. He started all the games and even managed to pick up a goal along the way, getting the games is a big deal for him as he had none last season so it is definitely so far so good for Wallace.

Of the 3 games this month Bertrand Traore has started one, came on as a sub in one and did not feature in the other. It has not been as smooth start to the season for this young man but he is steadily getting into some form. Given the time and the games he will grow to once again be an important player for this Vitesse side.

Elsewhere in Holland and NAC Breda is Stipe Perica, last season at this club he slowly grew into the team mainly coming in off the bench and picked up more than his fair share in goals and he has already picked up where he left off, except this time he is starting and finishing every game and this month he picked up 2 goals in a single game. It is a good time for the young forward and hopefully this progress can continue.

Josh McEachran is still struggling to work his way into the Vitesse team and in September only made one appearance coming off the bench for the last 10 minutes. He will need to get much more game time and become an important part of the team if he is to benefit from this move but at the moment it is not happening.

La Liga

Mario Pasalic is a player that will take time to bed into to La Liga being only 19 years old and so far he is picking up his minutes here and there. This month he has accumulated 30 minutes of playing time in 4 game coming on as a sub in 2 games. For him so long as he is picking up minutes and getting the chances then he is doing well.

A player with a lot to prove and a player who is seemingly doing all he can to prove himself is Gael Kakuta and this month he has had a very impressive time starting all 4 games for Rayo and getting on the scoresheet on 2 occasions. More positively he has been talking about focus and really looking to make something of this move. It will be interesting to see how he continues to progress.

Lower down in the Spanish league at Tenerife is Davilla who this month has started 2 games came on as a sub in 2 games. He did also score a goal this month and seems to be once again doing quite well in the Spanish second tier.

Other

Joao Rodriguez has had a big step up this season moving to Bastia in France and this month has not quite had the game time, he has only had 8 minutes from off the bench and it is fair to say that he is having a bedding in period. Should this continue into December then it may be bit of a worry.

Marko Marin has not yet made a minute on the bench for Fiorentina and I am sure that is something that will change but as of now there is nothing to saw of the German winger.

Since moving to Crete Islam Feruz has only got himself off the bench for 30 minutes and other than that has not troubled the pitch, again there is not much doubt the playing time will come but right now he is not playing.

A young man who must think injuries follow him about is Marco Van Ginkel who in his first apperance for AC Milan picked up an injury and is now out for 3 weeks. Hopefully that luck will turn because he needs the games.

Finally in the French second division is goalkeeper Matej Delac who since joining Avingnon has played every game this month and has managed to keep one clean sheet, it is much better level that he is playing at this season and given the regular games will do well this season.

So that is it for Septembers loan review, come back next month to see how these young men are doing then.
