Stamford Bridge on Champions League nights and especially the big games, has an amazing atmosphere. Sometimes we are slated for the lack of noise during the "smaller" games but tonight I know the Chelsea faithful are going to be right up for this one.
Ahead of another massive night for the Football Club, I wanted to bring to the Chelsea fans attention two quotes from players that are more than interesting.
The first is Arsenal's Bacary Sagna talking this week ahead of the game tonight. With the memory of Arsenal's 6-0 thumping at Stamford Bridge a couple of weeks ago, he has been quick to give some advice to those PSG players heading out onto the pitch this evening.
He said:
'Stamford Bridge is intimidating. The pitch is small and the spectators are very close.
There is a lot of intimidation and agitation. You really hear the chants and whistles. There are not many, but they noise is like they were twice as many.’
Finally, Barcelona Defender Gerard Pique has also spoken before about the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, especially on Champions League nights like these.
Now bearing in mind he plays in one of biggest stadiums in the world every other week, he sees the atmosphere here as one of the best in Europe and has gone on record to say:
"Playing there is hell. Everyone is excited. You are under pressure early in the game. This is one of the best atmospheres in Europe."
Come on Chelsea fans, let's make it another fantastic night at the Bridge. Sing your hearts out, support the boys and the manager and make it as hostile and uncomfortable for PSG on that pitch.
You have to play your part so make sure you do!
Come on Chelsea!
