Romelu Lukaku is featured in an interview and has spoken of life at Chelsea in these first couple of months since he signed for us and has admitted he is impressed by the intensity of the Premier League.
He said:
"I'm especially impressed by the intensity of the Premier League, and Chelsea are very effective. We create so many chances, we have so much of the ball. In training we play very attacking football and I get a lot of good balls. For me, the circumstances are ideal for quickly gaining experience.(Source)
Some believe in Belgium that moving to Chelsea was too big a step, I still consider it the right choice though. If you learn from the best, then you can become one of the best."
I have felt slightly disappointed of late when we are winning games comfortably that Lukaku isn't given more of a chance to come on as sub and show what he can do. OK, we all know that along side him has been Drogba, Torres and Anelka at different stages of the season in addition to Malouda and Kalou, but I still want to see more of this guy!.
For example, Didier Drogba was rubbish on Saturday against Everton as he strolled around the pitch and giving the impression he wasn't "up for it" or interested apart from setting up our final goal with the ball to Mata.
What I am saying is, I would have liked to have seen Lukaku come on and give it a go and see how he got on. My view is that you can train all you like, but when it comes to being given game time on that pitch against Premier League opposition, there is no comparison.
Maybe it's me, but I would have liked to have seen alot more of him already this season. I know he is one for the future and it's important that we take our time with him, but all I am saying is, why not give him a run out when the game is won?
