I think it's fair to say that a fair few people on here who comment are becoming frustrated with the selection of the team or should I say certain players week in, week out. They feel as though these players are being selected based on who they are within the squad rather than their current form. All I say in response to that is that we have only played three games so far, have made new signings and the future looks alot brighter than it did a few weeks ago.
So, as a result of this, with the focus now purely on Sunderland this weekend as the players re-group at Cobham. I am wondering who you, the Chelsea fan reading this feels should be in the starting eleven based on ALL the players we now have available at the club.
Remember, Petr Cech and David Luiz have returned to full training this week, Raul Meireles joins Juan Mata, Oriol Romeu and Romelu Lukaku training with the squad in addition to our existing squad so AVB has plenty to choose from.
The question remains though, what formation will we employ there?. It's obvious that AVB wants HIS Chelsea to play an attacking style of football and we look as though we are working towards that, but remember, we have United away next weekend and it's important to pick up the three points again this week.
Sunderland will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination. They have made really good signings, especially defensively and will look to attack Chelsea. Remember what they did to us last season at the Bridge?.
So, you have everyone available to choose from apart from Michael Essien. So I want ALL the Chelsea fans reading this post to give me your idea of the starting eleven that takes to that pitch on Saturday. This is your own opinion on who starts and the formation and give the reasons why.
