Didier Drogba has spoken ahead of tomorrow's game at Anfield and of being five points clear at the top of the Premier League and believes that Chelsea's biggest opponents to retaining the title is "ourselves!". He said:
"Really, to be honest, our most difficult opponent is us, If we lose points like last year we could be in trouble again. It is down to us to keep winning and keep increasing the gap.I have to say as we do sit five points clear Didier is exactly right. If we keep our focus, keep playing well and keep winning our games it puts major pressure on the likes of United, Arsenal and City to do the same.
It is important to qualify now (for the Champions League)because you could see that the manager has been able to rest some players and we will be able to go to Liverpool with fresh legs.
They are in a difficult period. But Liverpool are always Liverpool. I think this match at their place will be very important for them. They will try to use this match as a reference. They will give us a lot of problems. We have to know how to solve them."
I also think Didier is right about the Liverpool game tomorrow, they will use the game as a reference point and the other sides around us will look for Liverpool to nick points off of us.
As Drogba said, it's down to Chelsea to keep winning!.
