The Chelsea Daily Drivel is a daily update of all the stories concerning our club, the rumours, the opinions and more....
So here is the latest from around the web on Sunday 4th July 2010 including: Joe Cole just wants to be loved, £100m bid for Kaka and Torres and Sergio Aguero.
First this morning to Joe Cole who has spoken out against Carlo Ancelotti and some of the other Chelsea players. Its no secret that Cole didn't get the run of games he wanted and I believe that's largely down to the form of Florent Malouda. Joe has for the first time spoken of his struggle to get in the Chelsea side and keep his place. He said:
Now to news appearing on the net that Chelsea are planning an audacious double swoop for Kaka and Fernando Torres.
Its being reported that Kaka has become increasingly worried about his future at Real Madrid and would be keen to link up again with Carlo Ancelotti. Kaka is has told friends according to the internet that he won't fit into Jose Mourinho's tactical style. More on this story in the next few days now Brazil have been knocked out of the World Cup.
Chelsea are also reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Fernando Torres and are preparing a £50m bid to take him from Anfield. Its obvious that new manager Roy Hodgson would like to keep him at the club but Torres has already spoken about leaving the club. He has reportedly said that he would only leave Liverpool for another Premiership club or Barcelona.
Let's hope there is substance in these two as after all the fuss made of David Silva in the recent weeks it could just be paper talk. City are throwing money at everyone and everything to make a challenge for the title so we need to continue to strengthen our squad after the departures of Michael Ballack, Joe Cole and Juliano Belletti.
Finally more now on Sergio Aguero. Reports have appeared again this morning that Chelsea could also persue their interest in Aguero now Argentina have been knocked out of the World Cup. A bid of approx £20m is on the cards as Aguero has been made Ancelotti's primary target at the age of 22 with Anelka and Drogba both in their 30's. . Its down to Atletico Madrid now as to whether or not they decide to cash in on their man.

'At Chelsea, there were players who could have two or three really dreadful games before they were left out . I only had to have a dreadful 20 minutes and I was out, I want the right kind of manager, a manager who loves me, who will put me in the team. I want to play in a more central position, like I did at West Ham, I've a lot more to offer.'After reading Joe's comments about 'players who could have two or three really dreadful games' I have to wonder who he is speaking about? I have to say there isn't anyone that comes to mind that had a run of 2-3 bad games one after the other so sorry Joe i have to disagree with you on that one. His last comment indicates to me that we will find Joe in a Spurs shirt next season. Just waiting for Harry to come and get him.

We only need 1 new striker, an attacking midfielder and a central defender. I would prefer Aguero over torres on a cost/value basis; also Torres commands a starting birth every game and given drogba's ego and Anelka's fickleness none would praise a place on the bench for long which would disrupt team chemistry. We need a deputy for lampard (Ozil) and kalou is way too inconsistent and should be sold to make room for Aguero.
