Didier Drogba has returned to the Ivory Coast squad wearing a protective cast on his arm after the broken bone he suffered before the World Cup. Boss Sven Goran Ericksson will not rush him back if he feels as though he isn't ready. He said:
"I can't confirm that Didier Drogba will face Portugal, even though the recovery is going well, And I have certainly thought about putting in place a Plan B. But the decision to play will depend on Didier himself and the specialists that are following him."

Jun 08, 2010 - Knysna, South Africa - French national soccer team players Florent MALOUDA at a training session at their base at the Pezula Hotel in Knysna The FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup kicks off on June 11 and it will be the first time the tournament is staged in Africa.


Finally Breaking News tonight. Arsenal's Abou Diaby has been selected to play for France in place of Florent Malouda in the starting eleven tonight. Malouda has to settle for a place on the bench. Nico Anelka will lead the line on his own.
