Rubbish coming out of United - There's a shock!

One thing you can count on is the excuses that United will come out with about this season if all they come out of Sunday with is the Carling Cup!

Darren Fletcher is already at it as reported on the popular Republik of Mancunia website today. He has blamed the "injuries" United have had this season. He said:

“Without those defensive injuries it could have been very different,” said Fletcher. “At one stage we had one fit defender in the squad. No team has been able to cope with that. We had three or four games in that position and ultimately it has cost us. If you are going to win the title in England you need a settled defence.”

Does he not realise that Chelsea have had right back Bosingwa out for the Season, Left back Ashley Cole out for three months. Centre back Alex out with Injuries during the season. Centre half Ricardo Carvalho out with injuries during the season and hasn't featured in weeks and John Terry out with his back problems for some games earlier in the season, not to mention Michael Essien out 6 months or more!.

Sir Alex himself has come out with some rubbish too, speaking of a bad week that could cost United the title. He is speaking of the week United lost to Bayern Munich and followed up that game shortly after by losing to Chelsea at Old Trafford.

He said:

"It was a bad week - it might have cost us everything,"

Again I would like to point out that if he thinks he had a bad week, we had numerous in the season. We were awful at one stage of the season and looked like we lacked ideas.

Sorry United fans, but the facts are there to see and have been there all season. We have been top of the League for the majority of the season and its only because we cocked it up at times when we could of extended our lead over yourselves and Arsenal that its still this tight and all down to the last game of the season.

We both have had injuries, we both have had poor form but you don't find statements like these coming out of Stamford Bridge do ya!
