Chidge and the boys look back at a very blue week for the Chels with the disappointing exit from the Champions League and the draw with Blackburn. We also have difficult choices to make for the match awards, a quick look at a brighter future with the Youth Cup semi-final win, plus Dear Mart, You’re on CFFC, an American invasion on the benches and a good old sing song to cheer us up!
After a disappointing week it’s all too easy to slag the players, management and Uncle Roman off, but the boys resist the temptation in the main with the realization that Chelsea could still win the double this season. In a startling and pin point bit of post match analysis, Dr Martin reveals that Carlo Ancelotti may well in fact be the nodding dog from the Churchill adverts – Oh Yes!!
The match awards prove difficult this week with more celery moments on offer than Guinness moments. The boys more than make up for the lack of an actual Guinness moment by drinking as much of it as they possibly can during the show, aided and abetted by their guests on the benches all the way from Los Angeles, Sonoma and Oklahoma!
To cheer the mood up a little, Dr Mart, ChelTel and Ross report on the promising display by the Youth Team in winning their semi-final 4-0, and to remind some of the newer fans that it hasn’t always been about winning trophies at Chelsea, we sing a classic song from the days when we were the Boys in Blue in Division Two.
Seldom heard these days but well loved, we also have the return of everybody’s favourite bit of the show – ChelTel’s Tales from the Shed – where the living legend reveals how he used to greet those from Oop Norf when arriving in their manor on a Chelsea Special.
All this plus Dr Mart dishing out the medicine in Dear Mart and Chidge having a rant or two and reading out some of the best posts from the week in You’re on CFFC.
