I have decided to do something a little bit different in preparation for our game at the San Siro tomorrow. I have studied the last 8 or so games that Inter Milan have played and have come up with what I believe is their strength but more importantly their weakness.
Strengths:
CAREFREE & KTBFFH EVERYONE!
Strengths:
- Milito's movement, Pace and Finishing
- Quick on the counter attack
- Get men forward to support front men down wings via full backs and midfield
- Have height in numbers for set plays
- Midfield plays too narrow
- If lose possession, Midfield caught out of position
- Midfield not too keen on tracking back when lose the ball
- Midfield also do not pick up the late run into the box (Lampard)
- Defence get caught ball watching too many times
- Defence drop deep when being attacked to edge of own box
- When being attacked on the break, lose their markers as get sucked to the ball
- Naive at corners. Again defenders leave markers to go for same ball and challenge
- Defenders lack discipline.
CAREFREE & KTBFFH EVERYONE!
Nice work, you should send this to Ancelotti. It's good to see their weaknesses although I think we should pay Sneijder the most attention cause he looks like the creative power behind most of their goals.I think Millito will be too weak to challenge our CBs.
