Rumours are rife as we all know about Chelsea at the moment and there seems to be no stopping the press at the moment. Ashley Cole has said this week:
""Of course every club wants to see new players and at a club like Chelsea you know whoever comes in will be world-class, you would love to see new players but it's not my money they're spending and it's not down to me. The squad's amazing as it is."
Its only been this week when attention has turned to Sergio Aguero and how "Chelsea line up £50m Aguero" etc etc. However today it seems that Roman has cooled his interest. Maybe the price is too high or maybe just maybe, he has been speaking to Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti has been quoted in the Italian media as saying:
""If there are no injuries we are determined not to change the composition of the squad. There are two strikers going to the African Cup of Nations, Drogba and Kalou. But right behind them we have two boys with a great future, Sturridge and Borini. Borini is a very, very, very interesting 19-year-old from Bologna."
Borini has made his debut in the first team and has been involved in and around the squad, its obvious he has talent and would be no surprise if he became a mainstay on the bench for the month of January. Don't forget Di Santo will be back and Sturridge will be pushing for a start too up there with Anelka. Not sure if it would be the right time for Borini but everyone deserves a chance. So it might be that we don't spend a penny.
