Now that the transfer window has officially opened and clubs are starting to return for pre season training the confirmation of loan moves is starting to become a regular occurrence. Today has seen another blues prospect confirm a season away from the club and it is the second player to join our Dutch friends at Vitesse as Bertrand Traore returns to the club for a second spell.
The 18 year old attacking midfielder who has been in and around the club for a while came to the attention of the majority of Chelsea fans in last seasons Pre Season tour where appeared and scored putting in some impressive performances with the first team. However at that time he was still not technically a Chelsea player. That was not confirmed until the January window where that was finally made official.
Having officially become a Chelsea player the natural next move for him was of course to join Vitesse and that is what he did for the second half of the season. It was a good first loan move and even more so as his actual playing time had been seriously limited up until this point. As an attacking midfielder he linked up with fellow Chelsea colleagues Atsu and Piazon.
In his time there he was productive in the end making 15 appearances and scoring 3 goals. It is shows the young mans ability because as far as players going out on loan he is still young and he was playing a high level with Vitesse. Now his job this season will be to get more games under his belt and become more involved and be a key player in the season for Vitesse which he is certainly capable of doing.
He will team up with the other Chelsea loan player already confirmed at Vitesse, Wallace and undoubtedly be joined by at least one other before the window ends and possibly more. Traore is definitely a player worth keeping an eye on and here at Chelsea Daft you can keep up to date with his progress.
