"Frank Lampardwill not take part in England's friendly international against Brazil in Qatar this weekend.
An FA spokesman said: 'We can confirm that Frank Lampard picked up an injury to his left thigh whilst training today and will be returning home this evening. There will be no further call-ups to the squad.'

Meanwhile The Sun has claimed the following:

"Frank Lampard could be out for six weeks with a thigh injury after seven hours cramped on a plane on the way to Qatar for tomorrow's Brazil friendly.

Chelsea are furious and will claim his £151,000-a-week wages in compensation from the FA.
Lamps and his Three Lions team-mates were forced to spend the long-haul flight to Doha on a charter plane designed for short-haul only. The superstar players are used to having flat beds for long journeys and were shocked to find seats that barely reclined. Several players complained of cramp and muscle pain after the flight.

The squad had their first training session yesterday morning. After an initial warm up, Lamps, 31, burst into a sprint and strained his left thigh. Last season, the midfielder missed six weeks with a similar injury.
He could now be ruled out of crucial league games against Arsenal, Manchester City, Wolves and Everton plus Champions League clashes with Porto and Apoel Nicosia.

The FA decision to book a cheap charter looks like it will backfire on them as they are only receiving a match fee of £400,000 for the Brazil friendly"

So the fallout for us could be a nightmare. It will be interesting to see what comes out of Chelsea and if any statement is made by Frank.

But focusing on Lampard, if he is out for eight weeks it will be a massive blow for Chelsea. Lampard has recently got his scoring boots back on after a run of games without hitting the back of the net. Even still Frank being Frank was still setting them up even though he wasn't scoring. But to have Frank missing for eight weeks will hit Chelsea hard.

I know this England friendly is against Brazil and obviously the financial rewards for the FA for playing the game in Doha, Qatar would be massive but this is a pointless trip to of ever been made. We are approaching the Christmas period which can be make or break and we are playing this poxy game miles away. Surely Wembley would of been a viable option for the FA and for Brazil who have the majority of their squad based in Europe anyway. So this blow for Lampard maybe, could of easily been avoided.

Getting back to Chelsea, again due to the size of our squad and depth of quality we have its a chance for the likes of Malouda, Mikel, Zhirkov (fitness permitting) and Joe Cole to get into the side and make their claim. I would play Mikel and move Essien up alongside Ballack with Joe Cole playing in front of them. But there are all sorts of options available to Carlo Ancelotti but this still will be a blow to everyone at Chelsea. With Ashley Cole out injured. Bosingwa injured and now Lampard we need to make sure we wrap the rest of the players in cotton wool to make sure we are as strong as we can be starting with the massive game at the Emirates at the end of the month against the Arsenal.

Let's hope that Frank's injury isn't as bad as an eight week layoff.
