CHELSEA EXODUS - No surprise to the speculation however, there's a long way to go.
With Guus Hiddink admitting that at present, relegation could be a realistic threat this season based on our league position and current...
As with any side struggling in the Premier League in addition to the threat of no Champions League football next season, there is always going to be increased speculation over their immediate futures and all sorts of rumours will appear between now and the end of the season.
According to The Sun recently, Thibaut Courtois, Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Oscar are players that could be looking to leave at the end of the season. Some other Blogs and reports have stated that they have already made their "apparent" feelings clear already and they will be looking to move on.
All this comes from this person we often here the press refer to and that's "The Blues Source" and let's face it, he has come with some absolute crap over the years hasn't he!!
The thing is, you don't have to be Einstein to work out the fact that if we finish the season and miss out on European Football and without silverware, then we would have to consider that certain players WILL want to leave, that's only natural as the biggest names, the biggest players want to appear on a regular basis on the biggest European stage.
Chelsea would have to take a real hit on potential transfer fees for players such as Hazard if that does happen and you would imagine that the players themselves would look to force a move also. The club would have little choice but to accept the situation.
Let's just stop for a second here, we are talking as if we ARE going to finish poorly and have a disastrous season but there is still such a long way to go in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. There is so much that could happen between now and the end of the season. Let's not forget that we had a season to forget in the Premier League but went on to beat Bayern Munich in their own backyard to win the Champions League and it could happen again!!
There is plenty of football to be played and there will be plenty more speculation. Let's just see what happens but one thing is for sure, you should never write Chelsea off!
