Petr Cech's future at Chelsea will be sorted out when the season finishes but when asked what year was the best title win, he responded with a cryptic tweet that will start rumours flying!
When asked over twitter, "Hi Petr, what was the best Premier League title win for you? 2005, 2006, 2006 or 2015?"
Cech responded by Tweeting: "2016" ???
What does that mean? Does that mean he is staying at Chelsea or does it mean that he intends to move to one of our title rivals such as Arsenal or even Manchester United?
According to Ray Wilkins:
'If you look at Chelsea’s actions over the last few years, with the likes of Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Salomon Kalou, they were all sold outside the country so they couldn’t do any damage to the club in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho will do the same with Petr Cech.'
Of course it could mean that he intends to move abroad to a team that is fighting for the championship in their own country but his tweet is sure to start all sorts of speculation that will intensify between now and the end of the season.
I have said it before but I feel that due to his service to our club through the most successful period in our history and the fact he is our best ever Goalkeeper (with Courtois looking to take that mantle over the same period), Cech should be free to join who he likes.
What do you people think and what do you think about his cryptic tweet?
