Loan Report: Saville Scores and big game for McEachran

Another week and another week filled with action from Chelsea's loan stars. As always starting in the Premier League and there was no game for Victor Moses as Liverpool were not playing. Romelu Lukaku however continues to get back to scoring ways after getting the opening goal in Everton's 4 - 1 away defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup, a good scoring finish to the season would go a long way to impressing for next season. There was also no game for Aston Villa and Ryan Bertrand this week and he will not feature this week either as they will be up against Chelsea in the league.

These days there is more loan action in the Championship than before and this week saw Todd Kane not feature in Blackburn's first game at Home to Burnley but did manage to play the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth which just highlights the lack of consistency for Kane now at Blackburn. Patrick Bamford and Derby suffered a defeat at home to Derby this week without Bamford or Derby scoring and the same applied to their 0 - 0 draw at home to Bolton. That means Bamford has gone an unusual 4 games without scoring now. It was a big week for Wigan and Josh McEachran as their beat Manchester City 2 - 1 in the FA Cup to make the semi final and McEachran started that game and had a solid performance. However in their second game of the week McEachran did not make it off the bench which highlights issues with fitness for Josh. At Middlesbrough both Nathaniel Chalobah and Kenneth Omeru are becoming regular features and both played the full game in their 2 - 0 win over Ipswich and in their 1 - 1 draw against Nottingham Forest.

League one action this week involved George Saville picking up his 4th goal of the season in a 2 - 0 win over Bradford and he also played just over an hour of Brentford's 2 - 0 win over Tranmere. For Milan Lalkovic there was a start and just over an hour in their 3 - 0 defeat to Wolves and he only came on a substitute at half time against Crewe. Lalkovic will have hoped to have more of an impact in League one having only scored 5 goals in 36 appearances so far.

Moving to Europe and Spain and Thibaut Courtois played in his 41st and 42nd games of the season starting with Atletico's 2 - 0 away win over Celta Vigo which would see him pick up his 20th clean sheet of the season and he always played in their 4 - 1 home win over AC Milan in the Champions league to see them progress to the quarter final stage. Marko Marin meanwhile continue to look for match fitness for Seville playing the last 10 minutes of their win over Almeria and also got 25 minutes in the Europa League Derby game against Real Betis. Marin also mentioned this week that he would like to stay at Seville long term which I think is a real possibility. Oriol Romeu still on the road to recover did not feature in either game for Valencia this week but he did make a return to the bench for Valencia's Europa league game. In the Spanish second division Ulises Davilla got 20 minutes for Cordoba in their loss to Las Palmas.

In Holland our Dutch brothers at Vitesse go up against another one of our loan youngsters Stipe Perica and NAC Breda. The game saw Vitesse continue on winning ways with a 2 - 1 win, Patrick Van Aanholt was still suspended for this game but Lucas Piazon got off the bench even though he still is not being trusted to start at the moment and Bertrand Traore did not manage to get off the bench at all. Only Christian Atsu seems to be the Chelsea loanee that is guaranteed a start and he did in this game getting an hour. Stipe Perica meanwhile came off the bench after 24 minutes to get a good number of minutes but not a goal. In the Dutch second division there was no game for Christian Cuevas and FC Eindhoven.

Elsewhere in Europe and Thorgan Hazard had another 90 minutes for Waregem as they look to wrap up their league campaign with a 1 - 1 draw at home to FC Bruges. Wallace meanwhile did not feature again at all in Inter's squad for their win over Torino but Gael Kakuta did manage to get 5 minutes for Lazio as they lost to Atalanta. In France there was a third in a row last minute substitute appearance for Kurt Zouma at St Etienne as appears they are already planning for future without him. Billy Clifford meanwhile did not get on the pitch for Antwerp as they drew 1- 1 with Brussels. Finally in Croatia and Mario Pasalic played the full game for Hajduk as they drew 1 - 1 with Istra.
