For a player to fail to report for training in the modern day is ridiculous. Paid extortionate wages to lead the lifestyle they do we never expect things like this to happen. Mourinho is right to punish Eden Hazard.
You have all woken up to this story being reported from every angle in the media and written press but I want to focus purely on comments made by Jose Mourinho after the game last night.
'He missed training on Monday. He forgot the time? That's the end of story. He's a kid.
Kids make mistakes and fathers have to be clever in the way they educate their sons. He didn't play. He wanted to play.
He was sad because he didn't play. We won without him. On Saturday, he is back. So, end of story.'... and that should be the end of the story but unfortunately it isn't because, as we all know, the written press cannot wait for incidents such as these to jump on Chelsea. It's as if they sit there and wait for something to happen and when it does, they rub their hands with glee and plaster it all over the papers!
Think about it, last week Mourinho praised his Chelsea's squads "collective soul" and now Eden Hazard does this! They are always try and settle us, rock the boat and cause uncertainty at Cobham and in the stands.
As for the player himself, hopefully lessons will be learnt here and it will not happen again. To think that someone as important as Eden Hazard missed a training session two days before a Champions League game is unbelievable.
I urge you to read the Mourinho quote again because he admits it happened, he dealt with it and according to him, it's over with.
Let's hope Hazard gets his head down, works hard and if given the start, performs much better against West Brom on Saturday!
What do you think about how Mourinho has dealt with Hazard?
