After a fantastic result against Benfica with a team selection that surprised us beforehand, the question remains who will Roberto Di Matteo decide to go with in this one and who do you think he should start?.
We saw for Benfica the main focus was on players who were fresh for the game and hadn't featured beforehand. The thing is with this one, we have the return leg against Benfica next Wednesday so will this again be at the forefront of his thoughts when he selects the side to start on Saturday?.
For me it shouldn't make a difference now as we have to get three points to keep hopes up of a top four finish. The players should then have more than enough time to recover ahead of Wednesday night.
It's also important to remember that we owe this lot after they beat us fair and square at the Bridge.
So, Who should start for Chelsea?
My Team would be:
Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry (C), Cole, Romeu, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Drogba and Sturridge.

Based on team rotation. My selection would be:

Here's the thing: we need to give the little spaniard a rest! With our updated schedule of 19 games in 65 days, as well as him having started more games than any other player, we need to use him when we need him most. A win vs villa is important, but with our form lately as a team, we could put petr at striker and beat villa. Benfica is an obvious must win/tie to have any kind of positive from this season, but for that to happen, mata has to be in and rested. We potentially (hopefully!) will need him for our FA cup final/semi as well as UCL final/semi so he's going to have plenty of games to play in. Keep in mind, this is his first season in the EPL and this league has been know to take a toll on players bodies...especially toward the end of the season. He's not the biggest guy in the world either!
As for my 4-3-1-2 lineup, I think it would be cool to see Lamar's feeding the two most selfish players on the team a plethora of through balls and just watch them score. Sturridge will be happy to finally be playing up top and Drogba will do his usual "out-muscle every defender and hog their attention" type of thing, which will eventually open the door wide open for Sturridge to streak down the field for an easy goal (or two). Maybe I'm out in left-field on this call but I'm a dork and this is the formation I play with on FIFA (but my lineup for that is a little different...Jose/luiz/terry/cole. Rami/Essien/lamps. Mata. Sturridge/Torres) which I think should be our lineup all the time haha. thoughts on the formation I proposed?
