GATE 17: April update bulletin
THE LEAGUE ... OUR BREAD AND BUTTER
Top of the league and having a laugh ... well almost ... The title is still ours to lose even after a thoroughly disappointing weekend which saw Chelsea get beaten by Sp*rs and Manure scrape a Fergie time winner against City at Eastlands. With just three games left it certainly is squeaky bum time. Next up on Sunday are Stoke City at the Bridge. The smart money's on Super Frank to add to his amazing goal tally
DEFOE: "I can't believe Joe Cole could be leaving Chelsea!"
Tottenham's Jermaine Defoe has spoke out about the fact that Joe Cole could be leaving Chelsea this summer. Like all Chelsea fans he finds it hard to believe.

It was never going to be the same game as the 7-1 a few weeks ago. Chelsea ground out the result and put Villa to bed with three second half goals but you do have to say it could of been so different come half time.

THE LEAGUE ... OUR BREAD AND BUTTER
Top of the league and having a laugh ... again.
The Blues were too good for Manchester United. A stunning goal by Joe Cole, which will hopefully result in that contract wrangle finally being sorted out, set Chelsea on their way to a memorable victory at Old Trafford. Carlo got his tactics just right, with Drogba coming off the bench to score the winner. With just five games left to play, the Blues are now favourites to win the title. Bolton Wanderers next ... oooh Frankie must fancy adding to his tally.
