DROGBA: "'You’ll return when I say so!"

NELSPRUIT, June 26, 2010 Didier Drogba of Cote d'Ivoire gestures during the Group G last round match against Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at 2010 FIFA World Cup, at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, on June 25, 2010. Cote d'Ivoire won 3-0 and both teams failed to progress to the next round.

Somewhat surprising news from the Ivory Coast Manager (who is a new, not very well known bloke considering he has taken over from Sven) Francois Zahoui. He has told Drogba that he will return to the Ivory Coast squad on his say so alone. He said:
"Didier Drogba will make his return when I decide to bring him back. Drogba is not the only player in the national side. It is disrespectful to the other players to think about him alone. You have to show respect to the other players - who fight for their country."

I am all for showing respect to the other players who are fighting for their country but come on Drogba only missed one game as he stated that he needed to miss the game "to recover his strength".

Surely the way that Drogba has started the season and the way he has performed in the Premier League (apart from City), he would walk into any side..wouldn't he?

The good thing for Chelsea is that he has another "extended" rest ahead of the Villa game!.
