So here is the latest from around the web on Thursday 15th July 2010 including: Josh McEachran, more on Ashley Cole and Real Madrid, Essien and Mikel back fit, Wilkins on Benayoun, More on Fernando Torres and Chelsea's reported stance since his latest injury setback, Juliano Belletti moves back to Brazil, Brazilian Ramires dreams of a move possibly to Chelsea, Pre order our new away Kit as of today and todays Drivel Giggle!.

Firstly we start today with promising Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran. He had been training with the first team towards the end of last season, was then instrumental in England U17's European Championship win back in May and now is back at Chelsea and looking forward to the new season. With Saturday's pre-season friendly, the first of the season against Crystal Palace and a number of first teamers missing, McEachran is eyeing up the chance to impress Carlo Ancelotti. He said:

“Since I have been back I've been training with the first team which is really good, and hopefully I can go on from here. I thought it would be a lot harder but it's been alright so far, the fitness has been fine and I hope I can be involved in pre-season. The game against Crystal Palace is coming up on Saturday, and hopefully I can be involved with that, and then this season I really want to make my debut

.

Now to more on the report featured in yesterday's Drivel regarding Real Madrid and Ashley Cole. Today the Telegraph is running an article stating that Chelsea look determined to resist any approach made by Madrid for Cole. It reports that Carlo Ancelotti regards Ash as integral to his plans which for us as far as the football is concerned is great news which as we all know at the moment is playing second fiddle to Ash's behaviour off the pitch!.. more to follow on this.

Now to news at the training ground in the last couple of days. Great news for us is that Michael Essien & John Obi Mikel are well on the way to full fitness ahead of the start of our title defence at home to West Brom which is fantastic news. The Official Chelsea Website has run an article quoted Assistant Ray Wilkins talking about these two and their training. Wilkins said:

"John Obi is slightly in advance of Michael Essien but they are both working very well indeed. They have been working double sessions for the last week and we will get them really firing before the season starts".

Now to Yossi Benayoun, and in the same article Ray Wilkins spoke of Yossi Benayoun and his take on the Chelsea training regime and how it differs to that of Liverpool. Wilkins said:

"Yossi is doing well. He has said the pre-season training here is so different to what they did at Liverpool where they didn't use a ball. They ran and they ran and they ran. But here we use the ball all the time and we feel we get the best out of the guys by using the ball day in day out. I think Yossi is quite enjoying himself."

Now to the latest injury problems for Fernando Torres and how it could affect any potential interest from Chelsea. The Independant are running an article about the situation and they believe its still a deal Chelsea are not going to give up on.

I have been reporting about Torres and a potential move since I initially wrote the first major article back on the 5th May and again on 3rd June (which seemed to give Liverpool fans the ump!...funny that!). The same article indicates that Chelsea and Liverpool had begun talks about a possible £35m move for the player before the final where he ruptured a muscle in his left thigh!. It seems that despite the latest setback Chelsea are keen to get him.. more will develop and will be reported here as soon as I hear anything.

Now to news that Juliano Belletti will complete a move back to Brazil with (Deco bound?) Fluminense. He will sign a 2 year contract that will take him to the age of 36 where he will more than likely hang up his boots after a fantastic career.

Now to a Brazilian who is dreaming of a possible move to Chelsea and thats Ramires. The highly rated midfielder who is currently at Benfica has impressed the watching public during the World Cup and as a result is rumoured to be on the radar of the biggest clubs. When asked about his future he said:

"One good game could be enough to attract the interest of a big club. I don't know the names of the clubs that are after me, but it would be a dream for me to play for a big club such as Barcelona, Real Madrid or Chelsea."

As reported on the Drivel yesterday the new away kit photos had been leaked. Today as per The Official Chelsea Website you can get your hands on the new away kit for this season. Not too sure about the Orange on it and the reason why its on there but it still looks smart!

Finally to todays "Drivel Giggle!". Caught offside are running an article on the 10 most hated people in football and Chelsea have got no less than 3 players mentioned!!. Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole and John Terry are up there with the likes of Platini, Gary Neville, Adebayor, Hicks and Gillette, The Glazers and Sepp Blatter with the esteemed number one slot being taken by everyone's favourite Ronaldo!!.

I laughed when I read about Drogba:

He may have raised countless millions for those in real poverty but the constant diving (which he has admittedly toned down) and barracking of officials has made him a player who attracts a great deal of anger.

The about John Terry:

Allegedly sleeping with your former team mate’s other half will never help your popularity and the ensuing farce that followed, where allegation after allegation filled the tabloid press pages, meant the Stamford Bridge man lost the captaincy of his country. Some blame that debacle as one of the reasons England failed in South Africa, which is a little hard to swallow. Nonetheless the battling centre back scores high in the hate stakes.

And then Ashley Cole:

Another player who left Arsenal in somewhat controversial circumstances, having ‘accidentally’ found himself in the same hotel as various Chelsea representatives with a pen in his hand and a wish to make oodles of cash, Mr. Cole furthered his tarnished reputation by cheating on his ludicrously hot wife Cheryl with a myriad of rather cheap looking loose women. Apparently on the verge of a move to Real Madrid where he may well look to send sexy texts to an entirely new set of cheap looking loose women.

PR offensive at Chelsea this coming season anyone?!
