So here is the latest from around the web on Friday 25th June 2010 including: Michael Ballack signs, Nico Anelka signs, Joe Cole's future and John Terry the best centre back in the World.

Firstly to the news that Michael Ballack has signed a 2-year deal with Bayer Leverkuesen. Ballack was released by Chelsea after a few years at the club where last season he finally got his hands on the Premier League title!. Next to news of someone extending their stay at Chelsea and thats Nicolas Anelka. Its great news that he has signed a new one year deal at the club. He has said:

"When I first came to Chelsea I wanted to stay much longer than what I did in the past with other clubs, It is a big club, you play with big players and I like this club, I like London. There is no need to move anymore and so I am very glad to sign a new contract and I know we will play in big games and win titles. I am very glad.'

Now to news on Joe Cole and Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Joe and taking him to Tottenham. He said:

"We've declared our interest in Joe to his agent but that is as far as it has gone. We are told Joe doesn't want to talk to anyone about any move until after the World Cup is over."

Its definate that Joe will have a queue of sides wanting him when he comes back from the world cup and it looks as though its between Arsenal and Tottenham. Let's see what happens when the World Cup is over. Whoever Joe signs for, he will be a massive signing for them added to that he is also free. Just make sure if you haven't read it already, that you read my article about Joe Cole and his time at Chelsea: "Joe Cole, one of the most naturally gifted players Chelsea have ever seen!".

Finally Joe Cole out at the World Cup has spoken of John Terry after his performance against Slovenia the other day. He said:

“You can’t knock JT. He is the best centre-half in the world and some of the blocks and the tackles he made against Slovenia were brilliant. He has played with three different partners, he is the heartbeat of the side and he is an exceptional player. We’ve got so many good leaders in the team and it was a great performance from him.”
