Anelka sent home from World Cup

France's national soccer team striker Nicolas Anelka leaves George airport, near Cape Town for the match against Mexico in this June 16, 2010 file picture. A report that troubled striker Anelka had insulted coach Domenech at halftime of a 2-0 defeat by Mexico on June 17, 2010 in Polokwane was the latest sign that life in the France squad was ruined by bickering and scandals. Nico Anelka has been sent home after a row with the outgoing France manager Raymond Domenech. Anelka who was substituted at half time during the 2-0 defeat to Mexico was reported as being on the end of a tirade from the manager in the changing room for playing out of position as he went in search of the ball.

Anelka is reported to have responded by telling Domenech to "Go screw yourself!". As a result the French delegation have sent him home from his first ever world cup!.

At least he can have a rest now and remember happier times in recent weeks as you have to say the French look a shambles!
