Triple signings on Wednesday for Chelsea?

Comments

So according to the press Chelsea will announce their first signings of the summer when they unveil Yuri Zhirkov, Daniel Sturridge and Ross Turnbull as the latest recruits to the Bridge. Zhirkov (who can play anywhere down the left flank) will sign for a reported £17m, Sturridge to be decided by tribunal and Turnbull from Middlesborough on a free transfer to come in as Cech's understudy.

For me
Zhirkov will bring in competition for places down the left hand side, Sturridge will keep Anelka, Drogba and Di Santo (if he doesn't go on loan to Blackburn) on their toes and Turnbull will come in as understudy for Cech but can't see him ever taking his place.

Let's wait and see if these are all confirmed by Chelsea tomorrow as don't forget tomorrow is Carlo
Ancelotti's first day as Manager!

All quiet from "Official Chelsea"

Comments

Like me do you wake up during the close season and scour different Newspapers, Websites and Sports News TV Channels?

Well you have to say that at the moment in the month since the season was officially over the only Official Word we have received from Chelsea was firstly that Carlo Ancelotti was the new Manager and secondly a Statement from Chelsea about a story linking us to a world record bid for Kaka.

At the moment its very very quiet at Chelsea but I guess this is due to Carlo not taking up his position and cracking on with things until this coming Wednesday 1st July.

All we are hearing at the moment is Deco moaning, Carvalho expressing time for a change, Scolari saying that "player power" got him the sack at Chelsea and various players we are linked with looking like they are going to move elsewhere or staying where they are!

I suppose the rumour mill that surrounds Chelsea will be in full swing by the beginning of next week so let's make sure we all keep our eyes peeled and if there are any breaking stories I will be reporting on here as soon as I can!

City's view on Daniel Sturridge

Comments

Following on from the recent posts I have written about Daniel Sturridge here and here I made contact with Danny who writes one of the popular Man City blogs Bitter and Blue and asked a few questions about Sturridge.

Are you sad to see him go?
I am from the perspective of him being a player who has come through the ranks and is an undoubted talent. The talk has always been of his potential and him being a prodigy, and unfortunately we are not going to see if this is fulfilled. However, he has tarnished himself to a large section of fans by his actions and the way he (and his advisors) have conducted themselves.

If you could travel back in time, would you of kept him?
Ideally yes, but at what price? For the amounts of money he was reportedly wanting though, you cannot offer this to a player who has played barely a dozen times.

Whats his best asset?
A natural instinct and eye for the game. He has that selfish quality that top players seem to have. He looks completely at home at this level even given his young age.

Whats his worst?
Not necessarily a worst asset as such but what could hold him back is that he isn't an out and out striker, such as Anelka. This is why he was overlooked early last season when we were struggling for strikers, because Hughes didn't feel he was capable of leading the line as a solitary striker.

There are reports that he was greedy and wanted ridiculous sums of money. Do you think this is the reason City are letting him go?
I find it sad that both sides weren't willing to concede a little ground to get a deal done. I didn't think he would leave though, and I would be extremely surprised if he got more playing time at Chelsea, and if he was being paid more than we were prepared to offer. Which leads me to believe that there may have been something more 'behind the scenes' between him and Hughes that led to him leaving.

Many thanks Danny for your contribution!

What do we know about Sturridge?

Comments

So its more or less confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti's first signing as Chelsea boss is Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City. Both side are unable to agree a fee and so the fee will be decided by tribunal. This story was published earlier on my Blog and my feelings since then haven't changed I have to say.

So what do we know about Sturridge?.

According to Wikipedia:

"Sturridge was born September 1st, 1989 in Birmingham. He began his career at Aston Villa before moving to Coventry in 2002. He then move to the Manchester City Academy in 2003. The following season Sturridge was named Most Valuable Player in the Nike Cup (The worlds largest under 15's tournament).

At the age of 16 (2006) Sturridge starred in Man City's youth cup run and scored 4 goals on route to the final and another 2 in the final but they lost to Liverpool 3-2. The following summer Sturridge signed his first Professional contract.

The following season Sturridge became a regular training with the first team at City. He made his debut against Reading where he replaced Samaras for the last 15 mins. He made another substitute appearance later on in the season but then suffered a hip injury and kept him out for the rest of the season.

He scored his first goal for City in Jan 2008 and then his first league goal on his full debut against Derby County. However, first team opportunities were sporadic, so Sturridge continued to play for the youth team in the FA Youth Cup. Manchester City again reached the final, with Sturridge the leading scorer in the competition. This time City won the final, Sturridge scoring in the first leg. In the 2007–08 season, Sturridge became the only player ever to score in the Youth FA Cup, the FA Cup and the Premier League in the same season.

As of May 1 2009, after 16 appearances in the 2008–09 Premier League season, Sturridge has scored four goals and provided three assists. At the End of the 2008/2009 season, the Manchester City Fans officially voted Daniel Sturridge as the Manchester City Young Player of the Season."

So he comes to Chelsea with some Premier League experience but does this mean he is now one step ahead of Di Santo? Will Di Santo go on loan to Blackburn for a season now that Santa Cruz has moved to City?.

Is this really Ancelotti's first signing of Frank Arnesen's?.

The most worrying story - Essien

Comments

I couldn't believe my eyes and ears yesterday when reports appeared in numerous outlets of the Media and Press from Michael Essien's agent. The reported quote from his agent Fabien Piveteau is "He likes Chelsea very much but if Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other club make an offer he needs to discuss what is best for him."

There is no question in anyone's mind on this subject. We have to hold onto Essien. He has been amazing for Chelsea ever since he came to the club and it goes to show just how much we missed him when he returned from injury last season. His impact was instant, as if he had never been away. He is arguably one of the top athletes in the League and such an inspirational player. Let's just hope and pray that this is just his agent after a new contract at Chelsea for more money and there is nothing concrete in it for all our sakes!

Have we missed out on another one?

Comments

As previously reported on this blog Chelsea. Chelsea were looking at the FC Twente highly rated forward Marko Arnautovic. But its almost 100% certain that he will sign for Inter Milan for £14m in the next few days.

Like I mentioned when I first reported this guy, I don't really know alot about him but he has caught Jose's eye so he definatley has got something about him. But, again is this another player linked to Chelsea that seems to of got away or was it just papertalk in the first place?

Malouda Signs!

Comments

Great news today is that Florent Malouda has signed two year extension to his existing contract which had two seasons to run. Like the majority of you it didn't look possible that Chelsea would hold onto him half way into the season but he suddenly found his feet, and flourished under Guus Hiddink to become one of the most consistent Chelsea players in the run-in to the end of the season.

Malouda confirmed that he had put pen to paper on the improved terms during an interview while on holiday in his native Guyana. He told RFO:

"It was a scoop I wanted to keep for Guyana. I did add two more years on my contract at Chelsea. I am now with Chelsea for the next three years. I have many contacts, I am always in the news when the market opens, so now you can tell the news all over the world - I am fine at Chelsea. We will go for the league and Champions League next season."

This is great news and we all hope that he keep his highly impressive form going into the new season. The search can be called off now for those of you looking for his "twin brother" who played since he first joined Chelsea up until 3-4 months ago. He seems to be long gone!

What about Ferreira?

Comments

So with Bosingwa being the number one last season and possibly moving to Bayern Munich, I have to ask you, "What about Paolo Ferreira?". He had his injury last season that kept him out for more or less the whole campaign but apart from that towards the end of Jose's reign, Grant's tenure and the beginning of Scolari's he fell out of favour.

I would like you all to remember that in our 2004/2005 & 2005/2006 Premier League winning season's Ferreira was a mainstay in our defence that consisted of Terry, Carvalho and Bridge. They were solid and Ferreira was as solid as anyone. But, for some reason he fell out of favour and never really established himself as a regular starter after that.

Essien was used in big matches at right back (and did well) but Paolo was overlooked. But, then again there could be something behind the scenes that happened that we will never know.

I am an admirer of Ferreira and still think he can do a job for Chelsea. He is still part of the Portugal National Squad and has often been used as a left-back with Bosingwa on the right. There are reports that Chelsea are interested in Maicon of Inter Milan but I still think that Paolo should be given another chance. Are do you think that he has had his time at Chelsea?

If Bosingwa goes, and with Ancelotti's endorsed reputation by David Beckham for his team being "the fittest in the league" this could be the chance he needs to take with both hands!

Why did Johnson choose them over Chelsea?

Comments

I am sure alot of you like me, have woken up this morning and wondered "Why did Glen Johnson choose Liverpool over Chelsea?".

Once we heard the news that Portsmouth had accepted a bid from Chelsea that matched the bid that Liverpool had made all of us probably thought that he would be coming back. Then the news broke last night that they had agreed a deal with Portsmouth and Johnson himself to sign for them.

So this leads me on to question why Johnson being an ex-player who has more than established himself as a regular starter at Portsmouth and England in recent times, with the speculation that we are about to let Bosingwa go, turn his back on us?

We have all seen the report about what happened to Johnson at Chelsea. He was Roman's first signing at £6m and was the starting right back at the club. Then Jose came in and brought in Ferreira. Johnson then became a bit part player. Playing a couple of games and then dropped for the next. He even has gone on record to say that at one stage he hadn't played for Chelsea for five games then all of a sudden he was starting for England.

It's a simple answer to the question for me. Regular first team football with the World Cup coming up next summer. Johnson surely feels as though he will be the main right back there and will play week in week out and that's more than likely why he has signed.
To me, its a shame as I could see Bosingwa leaving and Johnson making the position his own.

Missed out on Johnson

Comments

Breaking news tonight is that Glen Johnson has agreed a deal with Liverpool to sign for them!. I feel this is one we have definatley missed out on. As reported a few days ago Chelsea had matched Liverpool's bid for Johnson and it all went quiet over the weekend. Now tonight we hear that he has agreed to sign for Liverpool.

This is one that got away as far as I am concerned. Do you agree?

Sahar signs for Espanyol

Ben Sahar has officially signed for Spanish Primera Liga side Espanyol today on a four year deal. Sahar was signed as someone with great promise at Stamford Bridge but never really shined or got a chance at Chelsea. The fee is rumoured to be around the million pound mark. Sahar was loaned no less than five times by Chelsea and is an established member of the Israel national side.

Bring back Gudjohnsen!

Comments

Skysports.com website has published a story today to confirm that Eidur Gudjohnsen has made made available for transfer from Barcelona as he no longer features in his plans. His is reported to be available for as little as 5 million Euros!

So I say forget Ibrahimovic, Torres, Pato, Aguero & Tevez and bring Eidur back "Home". He is total class and someone we have missed since he has been gone. He has great experience in the Premier League and in my eyes never really had a chance to show what he can do at Barcelona. He could be the signing of the season if you ask me!

Chelsea bid £50m for Torres.

Comments

In the News of the World this morning they have published the following story:

CHELSEA are ready to test Liverpool's resolve with a £50million bid for Fernando Torres.
Carlo Ancelotti has already targeted Torres' Spain strike partner David Villa, offering Valencia £35m. Now the Blues boss is ready to make an audacious attempt to unite Villa and Torres at club level.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez will do all he can to block the move. But he is worried the huge sum offered by Chelsea could tempt American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
Liverpool's true financial state will be revealed over the coming weeks and Benitez is beginning to fear the worst.

At the end of the season Benitez was hopeful of landing 27-year-old Villa. Now he not only has to face up to Chelsea signing Villa but also targeting Torres. Villa's proposed move to Real Madrid has not gone through because Chelsea's bid is £4m higher and is preferred by debt- ridden Valencia.

Now Blues owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to take advantage of Liverpool's own money worries by making the sort of offer he hopes Gillett and Hicks will not be able to refuse.
It is understood a tentative inquiry was made by a third party in April about how much it would cost to prise Torres away from Anfield.

The message from Liverpool at the time was that there was no chance of Torres being sold. Then in May the 25-year-old striker signed an improved deal to 2013.
If necessary, Ancelotti and Abramovich will settle for just landing Villa. But if there is even an outside chance of snatching Torres away from Anfield, they will take it.

Ok so we are supposed to believe this one. Good bless that newspaper! I must admit I had to double check if it was April 1st again! Would be fantastic for us but do you think he would even entertain joing Chelsea!

Chelsea after Mexes?

Comments

The Sun newspaper in the UK is reporting this morning that Carlo Ancelotti is looking to bring £12m rated Phillipe Mexes into Chelsea from Roma as a replacement for Ricardo Carvalho (who is in talks with Inter by the way).

Mexes has been one of Roma's most consistent players since he since from Auxerre back in 2004 and the 27 year old is seen as an ideal replacement for Carvalho.

With time on his side he could provide stiff competition for Ivanovic and Alex for the starting berth next to John Terry.

Chelsea bid more than Madrid for Villa?

Comments

The David Villa transfer saga has taken another twist. Its reported that talks between Real Madrid and David Villa had broken down earlier in the week. So everyone was waiting to hear if the deal would be rekindled by Madrid. But, now it seems that Chelsea have offered more than Real Madrid for Villa and Valencia are urging him to sign for us!

Well of course they are! They are in financial debt which is why they are cashing in on their best players so if we have bid more money that Real they are hardly going to turn their nose up. It was funny when I read a report in the Daily Star that said:

There is a bid on the table of £35m from Chelsea for the Spanish hitman, and that has not been matched by Real Madrid. The player himself is believed to want to stay in Spain with Madrid.
But Valencia president Manuel Llorente has told Villa that he needs to go to Chelsea for the sake of the club.

Valencia face crippling debts so they need to raise as much cash as possible this summer from their star assets. Madrid as yet have only bid £31.8m and have offered a number of players in exchange. But Valencia need hard cash which is why they want Villa to do his duty for the club and sign for Chelsea.

Llorente said: ‘’It is not possible for Villa to stay here. Today the best offer that we have is from Chelsea and I need to speak to the player about his future.’’

So let me get this straight. The player himself wants to stay in Spain but the club want him to come to Chelsea for the good of the club?. I think we should steer clear here. There is no doubt his is one of the hottest talents in European football but if his desire is to stay in Spain then let him. We don't need him at the moment as we have Drogba and Anelka. Besides, as I keep saying, we want players that WANT to come and play for Chelsea.

Johnson - Chelsea's Bid Accepted

Comments

So with the news (officially unconfirmed) by Chelsea that we have matched Liverpool's bid for Glen Johnson believed to be in the region of £17.5m I am wondering is this a good signing for Chelsea?

With the other news that has been confirmed by Bayern Munich about Jose Bosingwa I believe this to be a great signing for Chelsea if he chooses us over Liverpool.

If you remember he was Roman
Abramovich's first signing when we paid West Ham £6m for him as Claudio Ranieri brought him to Stamford Bridge along with the likes of Joe Cole, Hernan Crespo, Juan Veron (remember him!) & Wayne Bridge.

You have to say that Johnson began to flourish in a Chelsea shirt and seemed to be getting better and better but had his chances stifled with the arrival of Paulo Ferriera under Jose Mourinho and Johnson became a bit-part player. He was eventually loaned to Portsmouth and then sold for £4m a couple of season's ago.

In the time he has been away from Chelsea, Johnson has taken his chance of regular first team football and has forced his way into the England set up and has taken the fight to the likes of Gary (10 games a season) Neville and Micah (I don't know what my best position is) Richards.

The other week against Andorra he showed the progress he has made at Portsmouth because of regular football and was outstanding. Ok, I know Andorra aren't exactly the worlds' best side )no disrespect to them) but he was still excellent.

If he chooses to come to Chelsea then its imperative that he is given the starting berth ahead of forgotten man Paulo Ferriera. Bosingwa, is going I believe and it will be between those two for the regular start. Johnson has shown in recent seasons that he is still as good as ever going forward but most importantly of all, is improving defensively and with time on his side will be a great asset for Chelsea.

So what's wrong with Chelsea eh?

Comments

So at the moment there is alot of coverage about the club being linked with plenty of players that we are reportedly interested in but it leads me to think "What about those who don't want to come and play for Chelsea!"

In recent weeks the numbers of stories circulating has been unreal with player after player popping up that we are looking at bringing to the club and more or less one by one the story has almost died a death as this so called interest has been killed by either the player himself, his club or his agent stating that he is either staying where he is or will not be joining Chelsea.

So what's wrong with Chelsea. Are we no longer an attractive proposition? Are we no longer throwing money around that the players and their moneybags agent's don't think they can get a good enough deal? Are we restricted in our transfer dealing's internally within the club despite the reports that Roman will make money available this summer? Has he spent it all on his yacht!? Or is it that alot of the stories being banded about are just plain old rubbish?

Lets have a look at us for a second. As a player coming to Chelsea you are coming to a club that has won the FA Cup twice in 3 seasons. The Premier League twice in 5 seasons. The league cup twice in 5 seasons, At least the Champions League semi-finals for the last 5 seasons and consistently challenging for the Premier League title which is regarded by many as the best league in the world and watched by Billions all over the world.

So is it just greed or has the fact that Carlo Ancelotti has been named as Chelsea's 5 different manager in two season's got something to do with it? Whatever it is, we don't want you. You either want to come and play for this club and the pride of wearing the shirt or you don't. End of.

Fixtures are out!

Comments

This morning in the UK the Premier League computer fixtures for this coming season and overall I have to say I am pleased with the start we have.

AUGUST:

Carlo's first official Premier League game will be at home on the weekend of 15/16 August against Hull City. This is followed in August with away trips to Sunderland and then our local rivals Fulham. We finish off the month at home to Burnley. We should (on paper) pick up 12 points here.

SEPTEMBER:

In September we are faced with away trips to Stoke and Wigan with our home game against Spurs sandwiched inbetween. We should (on paper) pick up another 9 points.

OCTOBER:

We start October at home to one of our main rivals for the league Liverpool, followed by Villa away, Blackburn at home and Bolton away. 12 points here would be nice, but will settle for 10.

NOVEMBER:

A Big month for Chelsea and us fans!. We start the month at home to the other main title rivals Man Utd followed by a trip to Wolves and we finish the month away at the Arsenal. 9 points would be great but will settle for 7.

DECEMBER:

A bumper month for football fans and no doubt the squad will come into play with 6 games scheduled because of the Holiday season. We start away at Man City, Home to Everton and Portsmouth, Away at West Ham and Birmingham (Boxing Day) and finish off the month home to Fulham bank holiday Monday 28th. 18 points is on offer this month. Will be happy like all of you with 18 out of 18 points but we have to allow for the odd slip or two so will be happy to take 14-16 points.

JANUARY:

This looks the month to pick up on any points lost over November and December with games at home against Sunderland and Birmingham and away games against Hull and Burnley. 12 points on offer and we should take all 12.

FEBRUARY:

Two hard games at the start of the month at home to Arsenal and away to Everton followed by away at Wolves and home to Man City. 12 points on offer I would be happy with 9-10.

MARCH:

Another chance to pick up points and get on a run with games to start with away at Portsmouth and home to West Ham. Followed by Blackburn away and Villa at home. 12 points on offer will settle for 10.

APRIL:

We start away to Man United followed by home to Bolton. Next we are away at Spurs and finish the month at home to Stoke. 12 points again on offer will be happy with 8-10.

MAY:

We have just two remaining games to play and non bigger than Liverpool away to start with followed by our last Premier League game at home to Wigan. 6 points on offer. Will be settle for 4.

Total points predicted. 92 (worst case senario!) Would be nice eh! But we all know that this is Chelsea we are talking about and the new Manager will take time to settle on his formation and best 11 etc etc. So we are looking at approx 80-90. Will it be enough for the title? Let wait and see and keep everything crossed. Come on the Chels! KTBFFH & Carefree!

Whats Money Eh?

So Real Madrid have spent 140 million or so Euros and we are all wondering and debating about where Chelsea will pounce first this summer? Where our first signing will come from? Will we give our youngsters a chance? Will it be out with the old and in with the new?. We have even given our own run down of each member of the current first team squad stating whether or not we should Sell, Keep or Not Sure against each one of them.

But who's to say that Roman Abramovich hasn't got his eye on the ball already?. With the likes of Rafa, Fergie, Hughes and Madrid going barmy splashing the cash or looking like they are about to, Roman has already made his first signing!

As you can see I have spent alot of time reading the great articles on thechelseablog.org and another one has come to my attention. This post on there goes into detail about the recent rumours about Chelsea signings and also the huge waves within the football world caused by Real Madrid in the last few weeks.

I have to say at this stage "Do we really need to panic?" I recently posted about the so called Credit Crunch and again I would like to echo this once more.

Looking at how we finished off our season I am wondering do we really need to make major signings this Summer. Ok Deco and Carvalho are on their way or seem to be in the next few days to Inter Milan but let's face it, they both didn't feature at all under Hiddink's run for one reason or another. Alex stated his case and was superb and so was Ivanovic when called upon and don't forget we also have Mancienne.

Deco leaving leaves us with a "healthy" central midfield of Lampard, Ballack, Essien & Mikel so I see no holes their either. When I say holes I mean regular starts in the first team.

Drogba has declared he wants to stay now which leaves us with Drogba, Anelka and Di Santo up top depending on how we play.

At the end of the day we all have our own opinions on this. Another good read is posted here on Blue Champions site.

Let's all calm down, take stock, realise what we already have to play with rather than splashing the cash and give some of the youngsters a go as posted on thechelseablog.org.

Mancienne - Not the way to impress

Comments

Today Michael Mancienne has gone about Impressing the new manager in the worst possible way as he was sent off playing for England Under 21's against Finland in the European Under 21 Championships.

A long ball over the top was played and Mancienne looked like he misjudged the bounce/backspin on the ball and was caught out by the Finnish centre forward. He tried to make up for his error but their forward went down, Mancienne went down and the referee ordered a penalty and Mancienne was sent off.

He recently stated that he wanted to impress our new manager but unfortunately this isn't the right way of doing it even thought it looked harsh, but of course their forward made the most of it. Its a shame.

Michael, if in doubt boot it out and get rid of the danger!

Bosingwa on Bayern's Radar

Comments

Bayern Munich have admitted today that their only requirement left this summer is a right back. Uli Hoeness (Bayern's General Manager) said: " We are interested in Bosingwa. That is correct!". I think this could be one that develops in the next few days and I have to say I can see Jose Bosingwa leaving Chelsea.

In light of the other existing rumours about Deco & Carvalho leaving the Portuguese influence at the Bridge built around Jose's time has come to an end or it seems that way at least.
With the persistent rumours about Glen Johnson and a move back to the Bridge a possibility I can see this one happening. He will be missed going forward down the wing and I guess towards the back end of the season he was much more aware defensively but I think in Johnson we have a better option to play in that position if Ancelotti decides to buy

Take the place of Ancelotti !

Comments

Being the new man at Chelsea, Carlo Ancelotti has a job on his hands. Agreed it has been made a hell of a lot easier by the sides strong finish to the season and silverware but I want you guys reading this to put yourself in his place. I want you to look at the current playing staff in the squad (as per the First Team list on the club's official website) and see where you go from here. I'll get the ball rolling:

Goalkeepers:

Petr Cech: Keep. Had a good season off the back off a howler in the Euro's. Steady as ever.

Henrique Hilario: Keep. Good backup for Cech and maybe reason why Carlo went.

Rhys Taylor: Not Sure. Not sure as never really seen what he can do.

Defenders:

Branislav Ivanovic:
Keep. Solid, sturdy defender and reliable. Instant Hero with two at Anfield.

Ashley Cole: Keep. Ashley Cole has rediscovered himself in a Blue shirt. Best left back around.

Ricardo Carvalho:
Sell. Sorry to say this but seems injury prone now. Others have replaced him.

Jose Bosingwa: Not Sure. Good going forward but weak Defensivley. Better end of season.

Paulo Ferriera: Sell. Another one who doesn't seem to cut it anymore no matter who's the boss.

John Terry:
Keep. Heart & Soul of the club. Backbone and best Centre Half in the World.

Alex:
Keep. Had a great season you have to say. Took his chance, made next to JT his own.

Juliano Belletti: Not Sure. Age goes against him and have better players in all positions he plays.

Michael Mancienne: Keep. Need to make some use of him this season. Must not go on Loan.

Midfielders:

Michael Essien:
Keep. Showed what a different side we are when he plays. Solid as a rock.

Frank Lampard: Keep. Consistent, World Class and ours!. 20-a-season man from midfield.

Joe Cole: Keep. Unfortunate with injuries this year. But still different class. Match Winner.

John Obi Mikel:
Keep. Maturing season after season and different class. Solid and reliable now.

Michael Ballack: Sell. I know he's just signed a new deal but has never been the same at Chelsea.

Florent Malouda:
Keep. 6 months ago would of sold. But now back to the player we signed.

Scott Sinclair: Not sure. Not sure will ever get his chance with players we already have.

Ricardo Quaresma:
Sell. Nowhere near the player he was at Porto. (Think he's gone already)

Deco: Sell. Good start, but nothing since. Has come out and said wants to leave. BYE.

Saloman Kalou: Not Sure. Plenty of ability but needs a run of games, not sure he will get them.

Mineiro: Who? Sell. Nothing more to be said there.

Miroslav Stoch: Keep. The boys got talent. Nuture him the right way and he can be the new Nevin.

Jacob Mellis:
Not Sure. Seems half decent but wont get the chance. Loan him.

Forwards

Franco Di Santo:
Keep. For me can be as good as Crespo. Goalscorer. Just needs first goal.

Didier Drogba: Keep. On his day is a world beater. Just need to make sure its always his day.

Nicolas Anelka: Keep. Outstanding season and well and truly part of our team. Different class.

Do you agree? Post your thoughts and opinions now!
