On Saturday Chelsea entertain Fulham in the Premier League with an eye on getting revenge for the late equaliser in the sides 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage earlier in the season.
Barcelona are furious with the conduct of Chelsea's players following the 0-0 Champions League draw at the Nou Camp.
60th min. CHANCE BARCA. Barcelona possession ends up with Dani Alves right hand corner of box who fires at Cech and he stands up and blocks the shot pushing the ball away at the same time. Good save again Cech.
Guus Hiddink praised Petr Cech as having "saved the game" for Chelsea last night as his team's tenacity and refusal to wilt frustrated Barcelona and ensured the Londoners became the first side this season to emerge unscathed from the Camp Nou.
Not since Manchester United secured a goalless stalemate in this arena at the same stage of this competition last season have the Catalans failed to score at home, with Cech denying Thierry Henry, Samuel Eto'o, Daniel Alves and, deep into stoppage time, Alexander Hleb to preserve the visitors' clean sheet.
"Petr did his defensive job very well and saved the game for us," said Hiddink, who was also impressed with the manner in which Jose Bosingwa filled in against Lionel Messi at left-back. "When you look at Barça's recent history, this is the first time they've not scored at home [this season] so it's quite an achievement against a beautiful team who can play beautiful football, as we saw at times tonight. We rather neutralised Messi tactically tonight, even if that's no guarantee that it will happen twice [for the return].
"We needed to be very courageous, but you need to play with intelligence too. You can't get a result against Barcelona just with courage alone. In that respect, John Terry was an inspiration for us too and an example to the rest of the team, who responded in a very good way. We have to play better in possession, but that's also down to the opponents. But this team has a lot of courage and a lot of blood that they want to sacrifice. Mentally, we're a very tough team."
Chelsea's discipline rarely cracked for all that Barcelona revelled in their customary possession-play. "They had a lot of possession but we stayed very tight," said Terry. "They like to play little balls through and we knew that and stopped them doing it. It's a fantastic result and we go back to the Bridge ready to go again. We'll have home advantage so, hopefully, we can make the most of that."
While this tie remains on edge, Barça must face Real Madrid in a critical Liga tie at the Bernabéu on Saturday and will travel to Stamford Bridge for next week's second leg without the suspended Carles Puyol and Rafael Márquez, whose season was ended by a knee injury. Their coach, Pep Guardiola, complained that the referee, Wolfgang Stark, should have been stricter with Chelsea's more physical approach but felt his side would be "stronger" in the return leg.

Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out taking over from Guus Hiddink as Chelsea manager next season.
The AC Milan boss has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but revealed he will remain in charge of the Italian giants next season and has no intention of leaving Serie A.
And Ancelotti admitted he is already working on strengthening Milan's squad in a bid to challenge city rivals and runaway league leaders Inter.
'I will stay for at least next year and we are already working to strengthen the squad,' Ancelotti told Messaggero.
'[Talk of Chelsea] is a refrain to which we are accustomed and it will probably run again, but that is no problem.'
Chelsea are looking to bring in a new boss at the end of the season with temporary manager Guus Hiddink walking away in the summer.
Ancelotti was appointed as head coach at San Siro in 2001 and led to the club to the Serie A title in 2004 and the Champions League in 2003 and 2007.
Tomorrow night Chelsea travel to the Nou Camp to take on arguably the best club side in the world at the moment in the Champions League Semi-Final 1st Leg. This is another massive game for Chelsea and you have to say this is the biggest game of our season so far.
Eto'o up against John Terry and Alex is ok as far as i am concerned. I think the two of them can marshall him quite well but it will be upto Essien to stop the ball being played between them two for Eto'o as his pace will be the main threat in the game. Eto'o is another of the "whingers" in the game. If he doesn't get alot of the ball his head will drop and he will start to complain at his players. Let's hope this is the case tomorrow night.
I think this is where we will win or bust against Barcelona over two legs. I watch Spanish football now and again and i do not see any side with the midfield strength and power Chelsea have in Lampard, Ballack and most importantly of all Essien. I am happy with Ballack and Essien up against Inesta and Xavi. As long as they win their tackles, shut them down and make their physical presence felt early i think we can cope with these two. They are lightweight and skip past midfielders in the Premiera in Spain but against Ballack and Essien its going to be alot different. If Ballack and Essien get amongst them, and get ontop of these two early then we can push Barcelona onto the back foot.
Lampard up against Yaya Toure is a no brainer for me. Lampard is playing much more advanced these days under Guus Hiddink and will be much more of a goal threat than Xavi and Iniesta put together. Mark my words Barcelona are just as worried about Lampard as they are Drogba. There is no doubt Frank will be up for this game as he always is and if he gets on the ball early and finds his time and space between the midfield and defence of Barca then he will have a field day. Its upto Toure to negate him and his possession and i just think at this moment in time Frank is far superior in their battle tomorrow night.
I also predict Chelsea will line up from right to left with Anelka, Drogba, Malouda up against from right to left Dani Alves, Puyol, Pique & Abidal. Malouda up against Dani Alves is another one. Is Alves as good defending as he is getting forward? I don't think so. Malouda has been inspired lately and if he can put him on the back foot like he did against Liverpool in the first leg this will be good for Chelsea. Barcelona will be forced back and Chelsea will dominate possession.

Breaking news, Jose Bosingwa starts today as left back! Of course this is with Tuesday night in mind. A really think he will do well and Chelsea will win the three points today. I have a feeling that Frank Lampard will be even more fired up now after the radio interview yesterday!
So tomorrow the mighty blue boys head to Upton Park after a dire performance against Everton the other night. This again is a must win game and Chelsea need to make sure they have their focus on this game and three points and not one eye on Barca.
The game is one we have to win and there is little doubt that West Ham under Chelsea Legends Gianfranco Zola and Steve Clarke will be well up for this game. They came to Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and frustrated Chelsea and intend to do the same again tomorrow.
Branislav Ivanovic has been outstanding at right back for Chelsea and warrants a first team spot in my opinion so i am just wondering whether or not he will be asked to do a job at left back in order for Chelsea to keep their threat in the air from set plays.
Tomorrow Chelsea travel to Upton Park to take on West Ham. Now this is a difficult one to predict on who will play tomorrow with Barcelona on Tuesday in the back of our minds. Once thing is for sure, we still need to keep the pressure on Liverpool to catch them for second and see what happens from there. I predict there will be one or two changes in what is again a MUST WIN game for Chelsea. Full match preview to follow later this afternoon.
Chelsea have lost the toss over the kit selection in the FA Cup Final at Wembley on May 30th. Everton will be in their blue home kit and Chelsea will be wearing the yellow kit!.
David Beckham has been quoted in the British Press this morning saying that Carlo Ancelotti is in the process of learning English. He said that "When I arrived he was already learning the language and when I try to fix his English language Ancelotti insists on making errors and we end up laughing about it together"
