Blue and White not Black and Blue! The Chelsea Football FanCast #97 Available to download now folks!

After two unexpected defeats in one week, the grumpy old men of the Chelsea FanCast point the finger of blame at Howard Webb, missed penalties, Deco, Carletto eschewing his beanie hat and the unlucky away kit!

Even after a couple of day’s quiet reflection, the pain of defeat still rankles with the boys from the FanCast. An Ovrebo style performance from Howard Webb didn’t help against City, but missed penalties, poor team selection and subs seem to be the main cause. But was it really down to Carletto not wearing his infamous beanie hat? And how much has the ‘unlucky’ away kit contributed to 4 away defeats this season?

As well as the rant about the match the boys also award the Guinness and Celery Moments, Man and Chant of the match with Ivanovic, Ricky C, Penalty misses and Beanie hats all getting an honorable mention!

To cheer ourselves up (and the listeners!), we’ve dug up an old song aimed at Man City of the Lee, Bell and Summerbee era, and an homage to our famous Blue and White kit in “We’re Out to Show the World the Way to Sing!”

No Dr. Martin this week, so Chidge is wearing the stethoscope and stepping into the surgical shoes in “Dear Mart” to answer all of your Chelsea related questions. Questions this week include “is the away kit unlucky”, “how much has Malouda improved”, and “favourite Chelsea goal of all time”.

Finally, all the best posts and emails from Football FanCast and the Facebook group get an airing in “You’re on CFFC” including emails from our growing fan base in Hawaii, California and Portugal, not forgetting Brighton!
