Four months ago Roman Abramovich made a decision for the good of Chelsea. He sacked Scolari. He could see our club had taken a turn for the worse. He could see the level of performances dropping, our title challenge fading away and above all else our Automatic Champions League Qualification hopes fading too.

He asked an Old Friend for a favour to come and steady Chelsea's ship and ensure we got our house back on track. Not alot of us really knew Guus Hiddink when he first took over at Chelsea. Of course we all knew his name, and his reputation. I am sure there were people that thought he would do well for Chelsea, but the majority maybe wondered what he would be able to bring to the Club in such a short space of time.

As he sat next to Roman Abramovich for the first time against Watford and watched as Ray Wilkins took charge for the game who would of thought we would be anywhere near where we are today? Honestly, how many of you thought we would be here now?

The most important thing for all of us to remember is that the transfer window was closed so he HAD to work with with what he was given. He had to work with a squad that Scolari failed to motivate and to gel. He had to look at the players, each and every single one of them and decide quickly how he would approach his first game away at the high flying Villa.

In the week that followed he did just that and we went to Villa, played as a team that was unrecognisable from the Scloari side and took the points. The players looked hungry and looked together as one. This was a new Chelsea.

Apart from one blip under Hiddink (at the worst place possible) the side took to Hiddink quickly and they began to believe and to play. Drogba was like another person. Malouda found his form and generally everyone picked up their game for Hiddink but most importantly of all, for each other.

We took Liverpool to the wire for second place after a demolition of Arsenal at the Emirates to secure automatic qualification for the Champions League. We took Barcelona to within 1 minute of the final and of a Referree who cost us the game. A game in which i believe this time we would of won and beat United. Hiddink has always said he would of loved to of played United and gone up against Ferguson and not for one minute do I think we would of lost!

Saturday was a fitting send off for Guus Hiddink in that we lifted the FA Cup once more and our side has won Silverware again. A feat i believe would of not be achieved if it was anyone else in charge.

You have to remember, Hiddink came in, with no transfer budget, no pre season and little time to look at the squad and see the strengths and weaknesses and bring out the best in every single one of them. He just turned up on his own, didn't bring any staff with him and got cracking. In four months he has turned us all around. The Club, The Players, The Staff and the Fans and this is something not to be underestimated by any means.

To see Guus Hiddink dancing in the changing rooms with the players after the FA Cup Final you really do get to see just how much they love him and have taken to him. He says that the main thing he did when he came was to challenge them as a collective group of players and for them to challenge him. My God, they both did amazing.

So as i sit here writing this piece for my Blog i would like to say on my own personal behalf, "Thank you so much Guus for taking time to care about us first of all. For coming in knowing you had little time and getting things right and putting things right. For motivating our boys day in day out who in turn motivated us the supporters to get behind you and the boys.

For the professionalism & maturity you have shown everyone at Chelsea and for the success you have brought to the club in Saturdays FA Cup Final. I know you are a man of your word and we all respect you have a job to do for Russia. We wish you could of stayed but respect that you can't. So thank you once again for being a great man and a great manager and now and forever more A CHELSEA LEGEND. THANK YOU GUUS". Chelseadaft.
